Result for the end user

Is your government for everyone?
Too many government Web sites and apps are not yet digitally accessible. Digital accessibility ensures that everyone, including people with disabilities, can use digital services. This is not only a matter of inclusiveness, but also a legal requirement. However, we understand very well that this is not the easiest job. That is why we are joining forces with "Digitaal Toegankelijk" to help you.
The Open Method
Securing, improving and accounting for digital accessibility in your government organization while complying with the Digital Government Act. With Open your government becomes digitally accessible for everyone.
Do you recognise these obstacles?
1. Amount of work
The amount of work is too extensive and therefore impossible to oversee.
2. Limited knowledge
There is little knowledge of digital accessibility in the organisation. This applies to research, knowledge and project management.
3. How to deal with stakeholders?
Multiple stakeholders are needed to comply. And it takes a lot of effort to bring them together. Think of different suppliers, project groups, communication advisors and policy officers.
4. How do I start?
You don't know where to start. And once you have started, you lose motivation and focus for various reasons.
5. Chaos!!
The digital accessibility project is not centrally coordinated, making it difficult to organise.
6. Politically responsible?
No one is politically responsible, and as a result, the issue is not being addressed by higher authorities.
7. Low budget
There is too little budget available, which means there are few options.
The Open method:
Phase 1: Policy & Law
We are at the beginning of the process and get to work on gaining support, policy and budget for digital accessibility within your organization.
Phase 2: Results for the end user
Raise awareness, create knowledge, WCAG audits, take action, PDF management, inclusive communication and ensure vendors comply with both WCAG 2.1 AA and WCAG 2.2 AA.
Phase 3: Repetition
You continue with improvements in digital accessibility. We identify and implement processes. You embed digital accessibility as a guideline or policy so that digital accessibility remains secured in the long term.
The benefits and results of Open:
1. Support
You create support in the organization.
2. Legislation
You comply with legislation (Digital Government Act).
3. Happy end user
You improve digital accessibility for end user.
4. Less chaos
